Good Friend

You know you’ve picked a good friend
When they never let you down.
You know you’ve picked a good friend
When they give you the crown.
They never get jealous
When you win a competition.
And help you when
You’re preparing for a mission.
A good friend
Is someone you’re not embarrassed to be with.
Meaning, their looks and feelings.
Their stories and maybe a myth.
You shouldn’t be thinking
How much you hate them.
But rather what they’re good at.
Like for example Stem Chem.
A good friend is someone
Who sticks by your side.
And shouldn’t be someone
That you have the urge to hide
Because of who they are.
You should actually be proud
That your friend has imperfections.
Even if they are a bit too loud.
