I AM NOT

I AM NOT
I am not the girl who you think I am.
The girl who’s ferocious and lets her colors show.
The girl who’s icy and dark.
The girl who’s serious because of her grim face.
I may appear unfriendly or arrogant,
but that’s just because I’m initially introverted.

They think of me as nerdy and a computer chic,
or someone who has no voice.
They think that I am mysterious,
or someone who trips on her own shadows.
But they don’t know my true identity and who I really am.

I am not a spy working for ACME.
Nor am I a wrestler who fights against people.
I am myself.
A girl with dark chocolate hair.
A girl with deep, somber eyes.
A girl who tries again and again.
The one who never gives up.

I am the only person in this world,
who knows how diverse I am.
Which is why I’m that special top that’s painted with pink and yellow stripes..
Because I am the only me.
