Maria was all excited that Halloween was near. It was her 1st Halloween. She was busy decorating her house for Halloween. Dad she asked "When are we going for trick or treating?"
"Maria: Halloween is still 3 days away" Dad said. She was excited to know about Halloween. Maria's dad started with carving the pumpkin and Maria asked what it meant to carve a pumpkin. Maria's dad explained "Carving of a pumpkin is a tradition with Halloween and it is called a Jack-O-Lantern."
3 days flew by really quickly and Maria was all excited that it was Halloween. She had trouble figuring out which costume to wear. Finally after a lot of confusion she picked herself to be a witch. Maria wanted to be a witch because she wanted to look scary. Soon it was time to go trick or treating. Her dad explained that she would go from house to house collecting candies and other treats. When she goes to people's houses she is supposed to say "Trick or treat" when they open their doors.
She had spent about 2 hours trick or treating and when she got home she was tired. She counted how much candies she had collected. She had more than 100 candies.
Her mom said that she was allowed to eat only 2 candies a day. But Maria didn't hear anything that her mom had said. She was fast asleep from all that excitement.
